sir-paul-mccartneyPaul McCartney was forced to cancel two concerts he had scheduled for Tokyo, Japan, due to health problems.

The British singer, 71, should have performed in the Japanese capital on Sunday, but that did not happen. According to an explanation put forward by himself, the reason for canceling the concert was due to a viral infection. For the same reason, the former Beatles star was also forced to cancel the second show in Tokyo on Monday.

Before this announcement, the singer had already been forced to cancel the first concert last Saturday. Despite the change of dates, McCartney could not recover in time to perform the two performances. Paul McCartney’s Out There Tour will bring him to the US and Canada this summer.

Paul McCartney met with Ringo Starr at the seventieth birthday of the latter. The ‘Gigwise’ surprise was announced by Sir Paul McCartney (the drummer in the Beatles) and it was celebrated in New York on July 7, at the Radio City Music Hall.

Guests such as Yoko Ono, Mick Jones (of Foreigner) and Brian Johnson were present and got to see Paul appear on stage with Ringo.

According to “Rolling Stone”, the singer played a special version of ‘Birthday’ of the ‘White Album’, recalling the band that the two formed.

– On Wednesday, June 2, the President and First Lady (Michelle Obama) organize a concert in tribute to Paul McCartney, who will receive the third prize for Gershwin’s popular songs, given by the Library of Congress .

The award, named after the American composer George Gershwin and his brother, Ira, a lyricist, is awarded to musicians for his body of work. Last year was given to Stevie Wonder. It will be one among the many that the former Beatles member has gained in its nearly 50-year career.
