Garth BrooksThe rumor-mill is spinning out of control!  What is going on with Garth Brooks?

He’s just sold out 5 shows in Dublin Ireland at a venue called Croke Park which holds 80,000 fans (400,000 total tickets sold) and also just performed on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno for Leno’s last song.  Garth Brooks was sporting a Garth Brooks World Tour hat which pretty much was an obvious-subtle hint.

There is lots of talk about Garth Brooks announcing a full, 3 year world tour which would include Europe, North America, Australia, Asia and South America.  Fans have patiently waited over 10 years for a tour from Garth.  The best they’ve got were a few public appearances and a few live shows at the Wynn in Las Vegas in 2013.

In a video interview before a CBS broadcast of the love concert in Vegas, Brooks tip-toed around the question of a tour but confirmed that he is working on a tour.  It’s expected that Garth Brooks will hit major markets and hot spots like Dallas, Nashville, Boston, Houston, Chicago and others as part of his North American Leg of his comeback tour.

Regardless of the venue, city and date, each show will sell out within minutes!  (Source)

Paul McCartney hints that he may put together a version of the Beatles for the Olympics.  Paul McCartney has hinted that he and Ringo Starr may put together a new version of The Beatles for the Olympic opening ceremony.

Speaking on US TV, he nodded when asked whether he would appear at the London games. But after quickly realising he may have said too much he backtracked.  McCartney then said: “I hear there’s a rumour that I might be involved.” However when referring to The Beatles he said: “I hear they’re planning this sort of music.”

According to The Sun an insider said: “Macca was just being coy about the details. He has been speaking to organisers and has said he’d love to be involved with the games in some way. The organisers want the music legend to appear alongside other big British acts. And they also want Ringo onstage as well to make it extra special.”

The newspaper even goes as far as to suggest that George Harrison and John Lennon could be represented by their kids. The source added: “The Beatles are loved all over the world so it’s a no-brainer that they should be represented at the Olympics.”  McCartney is no stranger to playing The Beatles’ biggest hits at major events.

He performed at charity concert Live Aid and the follow-up Live 8 as well as performing at the US Super Bowl. He even made an appearance at the 2009 X Factor final after being asked by Simon Cowell.

Ringo StarrRingo Starr offered his drum kit to a teenager who suffers from Tourette’s syndrome and survived a cancer.

The musician of the Beatles, 71, handed the musical instrument to Alexx, who plays the drums since age eight.

Concerned with society, Ringo Starr said: “I also have children, I imagine it must be hard.”

Hugh Laurie Playing the PianoHugh Laurie, who became known worldwide as the indispensable Dr. House in the series on Fox, will premiere on the music industry in May.

The announcement was made by Warner Music in a statement distributed to the press which states that the British actor’s relationship with music dates back many years.  Hugh Laurie, who plays piano and guitar, introduced his debut album versions of 15 great classic blues musicians like Ray Charles , Robert Johnson , Memphis Slim , Lead Belly , Professor Longhair and Jelly Roll Morton and others.

Laurie has a strong British accent in person, but when he films the show, ‘House’, he has a stunningly believable American accent.  Many fans wouldn’t know that he is actually British.  The show indicates a few hints of his passion for music with story lines that involve guitars and show other musical instruments as props throughout the show.  House has played the piano for a few episodes and a recent episode involved a musical bit where he sang “Come on Get Happy”.

This summer should be a great season for concerts. Many great bands, singers and artists have announced tours, some of which start soon. Taylor Swift may be one of the top tours this summer but she has some competition… Kenny Chesney, U2, Keith Urban, NKOTB & BSB, Jimmy Buffett, Josh Groban and many others will be taking the stage this summer.

I am interested to see if the Foo Fighters will add more USA dates. Also, it will be interesting to see if Nickelback goes back on tour.

As far as comedy, the biggest tour might be Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall. There hasn’t been much talk or rumors about other comedy tours. Maybe Jerry Seinfeld will add more dates as usual.

In a few weeks, American Idol will be nearing he series finale and they usually release an ‘American Idols Live’ tour which does well.

Even Charlie Sheen is touring. I am not too sure what he will be doing on his tour but he is the center of the entertainment world right now. I wouldn’t let anyone under 18 into those shows hana.

What concert are you most excited for this summer?
